Joseph's Story.
Joseph's parents lived at 5 Ridgeway Lane, in the Hillgate area of Stockport. He is believed to have lived all his life in the area until he enlisted in the army. His service number suggest that this was in October or November 1914. He was killed in fighting during the Battle of the Lys.
