TRANMERE BOY KILLED.

Mrs. Naylor, of 83, Holt Road, Tranmere, has received news that her son, Pte. Harry Naylor, was killed in action on October 31, 1917, in Egypt, after being there about 19 months. He joined the Denbighshire Yeomanry, and in May, 1915, being then 17 years of age, when in Egypt, was transferred to the Royal Welsh Fusiliers. Mrs. Naylor has received a letter from her son’s officer, in which he expresses sympathy, and states: “I always found your son very cheerful, and can assure you that he is greatly missed and the numerous friends he had in the regiment. He died a noble death at his duty. I cannot speak too highly of the esteem in which he was held by all of us.”

Prior to joining the army Private Naylor was employed at the British Leather Company, New Chester Road. Much sympathy will be extended to the relatives in their sad loss.
