Frederick's Story.

Gunner F. Harrison

Mrs. Harrison, 10, Chetwode Street, Crewe, has received information that her son, Gunner Frederick Harrison, R.F.A. has been killed in action. He enlisted as soon as war broke out. He was previously employed in the Gas Works (L. and N. W. Railway), Crewe. He was 23 years of age.

Mr. C. J. Bowen Cooke, chief mechanical engineer LNWR writing to Mrs. Harrison says

“I learn with deep regret of the death of your son whilst serving his King and country, I desire to express my sincere  sympathy with you in your sad bereavement. I can only venture to suggest that the justice of the cause for which he died may be some consolation to you in your great loss.”
