The Late Private James McLoughlin

Military Funeral at Bebington

A large gathering of mourners attended the military funeral of Private Jas. McLoughlin, son of Mr. and Mrs. McLoughlin, of Princes Place, Tranmere, which took place on Saturday last at Bebington Cemetery.

The deceased, who was only 20 years of age, belonged to the Denbighshire Hussars Yeomanry, and passed away after only a short illness at The Curragh, Ireland. Previous to his enlistment he was an employee of the British Leather Co.

The Rev. Dr. E. L. Bond, officiated at the funeral. A firing party of the Denbighshire Yeomanry stationed at Wrexham accompanied the procession, as also did a large number of the young soldier’s former workmates. The “Last Post” was sounded at the graveside.
