Frank's Story.
Frank Barrow was born in Mobberley in 1893, one of six children born to John (a jobbing bricklayer) and Annie (a confectioner) of London Road, Alderley Edge, Cheshire. Frank worked as a warehouseman and also helped his mother with the confectionary.
He enlisted in the army in 1914, becoming Private no. 2305 of the 1/7th Battalion of the Cheshire Regiment.
He arrived in the Balkans on the 8th August 1915. He was promoted to Acting Corporal.
James died on the 5th December 1915.
