THORNTON HOUGH MAN’S DEATH.
The death is announced of John James Ankers, B.M.E, of the R.A.F. He was in training at Eastchurch, and from there was removed to Chatham Naval Hospital, where he died after an illness of four days. He was well-known and highly esteemed, and was a great favourite with his mates in the R.A.F. The body was conveyed from Chatham to Thornton Hough, where the burial took place on Saturday last.
