James William's Story.
A Policeman by profession who joined the Police Force in 1910 and was stationed at Hopetown. Boarding at Northgate Police Station in 1911 (alongside ten other Officers and four prisoners). Had previously been a gamekeeper, and was a keen local cricketer. Son of Albert and Clara Noutch of 51, Swanlow Lane, Winsford, Cheshire. Husband of Mary Noutch of 18, Pendower Street. Darlington.
