MEMORIAL SERVICE TO FALLEN SOLDIER.

On Sunday, May 26, a memorial service was held at St. Winefred’s Welsh Church, Westbourne Road, Birkenhead, on behalf of Gunner Robt. John Morris, R.G.A., of 91, Craven Street, reported killed in action on April 25. He had been in France for nearly twelve months, having joined the Army early in 1917. In civil life he was employed by the Midland Railway Co., Birkenhead. He was an old scholar of Cathcart Street Council School, and the second eldest son of the family.
