BIRKENHEAD CANADIAN MISSING.

News has been received by Mrs. Jones, 190, Oliver Street, that her son, Lance Corporal John M. Jones of the Canadians, is reported missing since November 10th. He was an old boy of St. John’s School, and Boy’s Club. He went out to Nebraska, U.S.A. at the age of 17 years, and was there about two years. He then went to Canada, remaining there until the outbreak of war, when he joined the Colours eager to do his bit for his native land. He has been in some heavy fighting in France and Flanders, having been twice wounded. Any information concerning him would be gladly received by his mother.
