Charles William's Story.

Appended is a photograph of Private C. Hodkinson, who has been missing as far back as October 9th, 1915*. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Hodkinson, of 51, Patten Street, North End, Birkenhead, who would be glad to learn from comrades of their son any particulars that may lead to his fate being ascertained. Joining the Army soon after the outbreak of war on October 10th, 1914 - young Hodkinson was formerly in the 5th Cheshires, but was transferred whilst in France to the 10th Cheshires.
* Although the newspaper article states Charles Hodkinson was missing from 1915, it is actually 1916.
