Private G. H. Platt (killed in action)
Private G. H. (“Bert”) Platt, South Lancashire Regiment, son of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Platt, Oak Tree Farm, Eaton, whose death in action at the age of 21, was reported last week. This gallant young soldier was in no fewer than twelve battles, out of which he came unscathed, but unhappily, on May 28, he was called upon to make the supreme sacrifice.
