Birkenhead News  2 September 1916

Local Dentist Loses a Son.

Private T. Glyn Gough Williams R. W. F., who was killed in action on August 19th, was the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. T. H. Williams, “Preswylfa”’ Laird Street, Birkenhead, and before joining the Army had just passed an examination for dentistry, it being his intention to commence his career in that profession with his father. He enlisted four months ago and while in training was one of those who volunteered after two months’ training to go to France to fill up the gaps caused by the heavy losses sustained by the Liverpool's. He was a Birkenhead Institute old boy, and was also organist at Parkfield Welsh C. M. Church. He was a talented musician, and very well known on both sides of the Mersey.
