Son of William and Sarah Speed, of Spurstow, Tarporley.

Private Frederick Speed, North Lancashire Regiment, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Speed of Haughton, Tarporley was killed in action on April 23^rd. Private Speed, who before the war was employed at Mr. Brocklebank’s Dairy Farm, Haughton, enlisted in October. He was 20 years of age.
