William Henry's Story.

Private W. Hughes

Pte. W. Hughes, Royal Berks Regiment, son of Mrs. S Hughes, 36, Oak Road, Hale. Was killed in action on March 21. In November 1914, he enlisted in the Cheshire Regiment, and went to the front in 1916. Later he transferred to the Royal Berks Regiment. He was 24 years of age and received his education at Chester. Before joining Army he was employed at the Lead Light Works, Chester.
