Thomas's Story.

Thomas Murphy was born in 1882 in Weston, Runcorn to Mary and Thomas Murphy (both parents from Wexford, Ireland)
He was one of four children, the others being Edward, Elizabeth and Julia. 
In 1901 the family are found living at 61 Companys Row, Weston, Runcorn
By 1911, Thomas was the only child living with his parents at Companys Row, Weston Point, Runcorn as a labourer. 
Julie (20), Elizabeth (24) and Edward (26) had all moved on. 

Thomas,  was one of the 13 footballers who travelled to Wrexham to join up.

He is recorded on the Soldiers Efects records, as presumed dead on 22nd March 1918. His efects went to his mother, Mary, so it can be assumed his father, Thomas had passed away. 
Thomas is not recorded on the Runcorn Memorial.
