BIRKENHEAD PARENTS BEREAVEMENT.

Three Sons Served, One Now Killed.

Mr. Moxley, of 35, Craven Street, Birkenhead, has received War Office information, that his third son, Pte. Fred Moxley, was killed in action on April 23rd. He had been at the front for 10 months when he was wounded in the thigh, and had only returned to the front three weeks before he was killed. His officer writes :- “I very much regret to say that your son, previously reported missing, was killed in action with his company on April 23rd. His loss will be felt by us all, as he was an excellent soldier in every way and a great favourite with all the men in the company.”

Previous to enlisting in the K.L.R., which he did in the very early days of the war, the late Private Moxley was employed as a clerk by Messrs. H Davies, painters, Liverpool. He was educated at Rock Ferry Higher Grade School. Mr Moxley has two other sons in the Army, one of them being in France.
