S's Story.

4487 Private S Sheldon, 4th Battalion the Cheshire Regiment died of disease (probably typhoid) on 10th March 1901. His Battalion was embodied for service in South Africa in January 1900. They sailed for the Cape on the SS Orotava in February 1900.

Private Sheldon is buried in the Springfontein Concentration Camp Cemetery.
