J's Story.
Private J Bradley died on Christmas Day 1900 at East London, Eastern Cape, South Africa. He had been suffering from phthysis - pulmonary tuberculosis or a similar progressive wasting disease.
The newspaper report of Private Bradley's death uses the initials G E instead of J, but the regimental number is correct.
However, his medals list gives his first initial as J. (His QSA medal has the clasp for Cape Colony)
He is remembered at St Michael's Church in Macclesfield, and therefore may have a link to that town.
He may be the J Bradley who died in 1900 and is buried in East Bank Cememetry, East London, South Africa.
