ROCK FERRY GUNNER KILLED.

Cammell Laird and Co.’s Employee

The sad news of the death of her brother, Gunner C. Westmoreland, of the Royal Garrison Artillery, has been conveyed to Miss Westmoreland, of 129 Peel Street, Rock Ferry, from a letter she has received from a sister in charge of one of the field hospitals.

Gunner Westmoreland was severely wounded in the leg, which had to be amputated, and from the effects of the injury he did not recover. The gallant gunner, who before the war was employed as a rivetter by Messrs. Cammell Laird and Co., enlisted in the Royal Garrison Artillery in October.
