Birkenhead News 26 October 1918Councillor J. Aspinall’s Son Dead.
The news will be read with regret that Pte. G. Aspinall, of 52, Russell Road, Rock Ferry, has died of wounds in France. He joined the 13th Cheshire Regt. in 1914 and was later transferred to the 15th Cheshires. Being wounded, he was taken to hospital in France, and died on October 15th. He was employed at Lever Bros. Ltd. toilet department for eight years prior to joining, and he was 24 years of age.
