Arnold's Story.
Sergt. Arnold Lawton Wounded.
The many friends of Sergt. Arnold Lawton were extremely sorry to learn that he had been somewhat seriously wounded in action, and his parents (Mr. and Mrs. Lawton, of Hackney’s Lake, Congleton) have been besieged with inquiries as to his condition. It is gratifying to learn that he is progressing as satisfactorily as can be expected. Sergt. Lawton, who belongs to the Manchester Regiment, is now in the Western General Hospital, Cardiff, and has been shot through the arm, the left hand and the lower part of the body. He had been “somewhere in France” for twelve months, and consolation is vouchsafed his parents in the fact that he has “done his bit” for King and Country.
