The Wounded
CORPORAL H. LEDWARD
Corporal H. Ledward of the S.A.A. Royal Field Artillery has been wounded by shrapnel, he had a marvellous escape, as a piece of shrapnel hit him in the arm, chest, and ankle, and is now in the Manchester Infirmary. It appears to have struck him near the heart. His friends will be glad to learn that he is making satisfactory progress. His home is at 88 Audley street and before enlistment he was employed as a labourer in Crewe Works.
