The funeral of Mr. Charles Lee, who died on Thursday week at the residence of his mother “Kingscroft,” Higher Bebington, took place at Christ Church on Saturday last in the presence of a numerous body of mourners, the Vicar (Rev. Leslie Troughton) officiating.
The deceased gentleman, who was only 34 years of age, had been for a period in his Majesty’s Forces. He was well-known in the district, having succeeded his father in the control of the extensive orchards of Higher Bebington, who will be remembered as one of the finest and principle apple growers in the country.
