Mason Leslie's Story.
Mason, ws the 21 year old son of Thomas and Mary Bostock of Sandy Lane, Weston Point, Runcorn. He was born at Whitchurch.He worked at the Castner Kellner Works.
He as one of the 13 football players who joined up together in Wrexham, along side his neighbour Richard Bloor.
He went to France on 1st Aoril 1915 with his friend Richard and became a machine gunner. Daniel Gregory also joined them, and he later on went into the machine gun corps.
He was killed on the first day of the battle of Loos.
His brother, Reginald Thomas Bostock, also joined up with Mason as Reg No 17326. He also worked at Castner Kelner and was awarded the Military Medal.
