Another 4th Cheshire Killed
Price Street Patriot Dies for His Country
Mr. Geo. C. Wiggett, 226 Price Street, has received the official War Office letter informing him that his eldest son, Pte. John Wiggett, of the 1st-4th Cheshires, was killed in action on the 26th November. Pte. Wiggett joined the 4th Cheshires soon after the outbreak of war, and was drafted to the front in August of this year. He was only 20 years of age, and before joining the Army was employed by Mr. Hodgson, plumber, of Borough Road. He was well-known in the North End, being an old boy of Cathcart Street School, where he was held in high esteem by his teachers.
