Donald's Story.
Donald Cash was born in 1895 in Knutsford, the son of Samuel (a woodman) and Jessie (a housekeeper) of Park Cottage, King Street, Knutsford. Donald became an insurance clerk.
He enlisted in the Royal Field Artillery as Bombardier no. L/9670 of B Battery 149th Brigade.
