James Henry's Story.
Born Crewe 1889, enlisted Macclesfield. Son of Samuel and Jessie Moss, whom in 1901 were living at 16, Liverpool Terrace, Crewe. In 1912 he married Dora Houchin in Nantwich. They resided at 5, George Street, Monk’s Coppenhall, Crewe and he was previously employed before enlisting as a railway labourer. Landed (for Gallipoli) on November 27, 1915, moving to Egypt the following month.
