Joseph's Story.

Born Norbury, enlisted Whitchurch. Son of Thomas and Annie Maddocks of Old House, Gaugton’s Bank, Norbury. Went to France (Boulogne) on May 22, 1915. Five other brothers would enlist - William would die of wounds in 1915, John would be killed in action in 1917 and Thomas would die of fever in 1917 (Job and Wilfred would survive).
