Henry Bernardine's Story.
Born and enlisted Crewe. Resided with his brother Walter at 52, Rigg Street, Crewe. Originally enlisted on April 14, 1908 in the Cheshire Regiment and was a boilermaker in Crewe Works prior to enlisting. Went to France on August 14, 1914 and died at 2.15pm in No.13 Stationary Hospital, Boulogne, after accidentally shooting himself in the head with a revolver at the Delpierre Cafe, Boulogne. He had been at
Boulogne as part of an escort for a supply train.
