Two Cousins Killed.

Lieutenant and Lance-Corporal

Lance Corpl. John Reid, son of Mr. and Mrs. Reid, of 12, Hollybank Road, who was killed on August 12, was a cousin of 2nd Lieut. Reid. He joined the Scottish in November 1915, and went to France the following July. He was educated at St. Andrew’s Higher Grade School, Conway Street, and at Clifton Park School. He entered the firm of Messrs. W. McLaren, Sons and Co., Ltd., Glasgow, in their Liverpool branch, and was with them over 15 years, eventually becoming one of their representatives. He was greatly admired and respected by all for his fine character and sterling work. He was for many years a faithful worker at the Grange Road Presbyterian Church, and was for 15 years secretary of the Borough Road Mission Sunday School.
