Henry Ernest's Story.

Henry was born in 1892, 4th son of Edwin and Alice Jane Thornicroft of Clay Terrace, Lymm, he was from a well known family of 7 sons and 5 daughters.
He was educated at Lymm Parochial School and attended the Primitive Methodist Church, Cherry Lane, Lymm.
He worked briefly as a butcher's assistant before gaining employment at Cadishead Oil Works.
Henry enlisted on 24th January 1915 and was drafted abroad to France in April 1915
He was killed in action on 10th November 1917 aged 25.
