Joseph's Story.
Born and enlisted Crewe. Resided at 8, Forge Street, Crewe. Formerly a labourer in Crewe Works and lamp attendant in Crewe Gas Works. Played football for the Gas Works. Killed by shellfire, in the same incident that killed Private William Needham, also of Crewe.
