Died of Wounds.
Gunner A. C. Wright.
With reference to the late Gunner A. C. Wright, of the R.G.A., whose death from wounds was reported in our last issue, the following letter has been received by his widowed mother, who lives at 61 Ridgway Street, Crewe.
“The men of my section asked me to write a few lines to thank you for the papers belonging to your son. He told me to give them to his comrades before we moved to the hospital. We were all sorry when we knew we had lost him. He was a true soldier and a right straightforward man. He was well liked by every man from his commanding officer downwards. He was in my section ever since he joined my battery and I always found him willing and straightforward, and our sympathy is all with you. I am, yours sincerely, Sergeant H. Dodson.”
