Richard William's Story.
Born Audlem, enlisted Crewe. Resided in Audlem. The 17th Bn. landed in France (Boulogne) on November 6, 1915. He was killed in action on July 1, 1916, the first day of the Battle of Somme, while attacking Montauban.
