SAD NEWS OF CARLISLE STREET SOLDIER.

Another Birkenhead man to pay the price of freedom is Pte. J. M. Morris, who in civilian life resided at 28, Carlisle Street, Birkenhead. He formerly worked at Lever Bros., Port Sunlight, and was 26 years of age. He joined the Household Cavalry in July, 1917, and later was transferred to the Irish Guards. He was drafted rot France on July 18th, 1918, and only 8 weeks later his family received news of his death.

His schooldays were spent at St. John’s. He has two brothers also serving, one Pte. George Morris, is in the Lancashire Fusiliers, and the other Corpl. Peter Morris, is in the R.F.C.
