Heswall Soldiers Fall.

ONE KILLED - ANOTHER DIES OF WOUNDS.

IMPRESSIVE FUNERAL.

The funeral of Sapper Herbert Price, who died from wounds received in the Dardanelles, took place at Heswall Parish Church on Thursday afternoon, the Rev. T. H. Jones officiating. The chief mourners were Messrs. W Taylor (step-father), Walter Price (brother), William Price (cousin). About 60 lads from the Church School, under the command of Major Shaw, formed a guard of honour. The buglers from Heswall Nautical School sounded the “Last Post.” At the graveside many other mourners were present, and the wreaths were numerous and beautiful.

Sapper Price, as stated a fortnight ago, was lying seriously wounded at Lincoln, where he died on Monday. His remains were conveyed by train on Wednesday to his home at Heswall.
