Posted as Missing.

Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Clare, of 15, Wye Street, Rock Ferry, have received official notice from the military authorities to the effect that their eldest son, Corporal W. J. Clare, of the King’s Liverpool Regt., is reported missing since the engagement on August 8th. Corpl. Clare only went out a little over six weeks ago. He is very well known in the South End of the borough. His parents are naturally very anxious as to his whereabouts, and if any of his comrades of the battalion will communicate any news about him to the above address it will be greatly received.

ROCK FERRY CORPORAL REPORTED KILLED

After Missing for 10 Months.

Mr. and Mrs. J. Clare, of 15, Wye Street, Rock Ferry, have now received official intimation of the death in action of their eldest son, Corporal W. J. Clare, of the King’s Liverpool Regt., on August 8th, 1916. He was previously reported missing on that date, and was in his 25th year.
