Samuel Herbert's Story.
Born Crewe, enlisted Nantwich. Son of Mr and Mrs T. Palin of 54, Underwood Lane, Crewe. A former fitter in No.7 and No.8 Erecting Shops, Crewe Works. Member of Crewe Dramatic Society, Apollo Choir and Crewe Men’s Brotherhood. Landed at “C” Beach, Suvla Bay (Gallipoli) on August 8/9, 1915.
