John's Story.

Private John Owen

Mrs. Owen, 26 Park Road, Willaston, Information on Friday that her husband, private John Owen, of the Lancashire Fusiliers, had been killed in action. Private Owen, who was a son of the late Mr. B. Owen, Woolstanwood, and formerly Alvaston, Nantwich. He was 31 years of age. Before joining the colours on September 16, 1916, he was in the employ of Mr. Richard Bostock, farmer, Crewe Road, Willaston. He went to the front in January this year and was invalided home in April. He returned to the front in June. He leaves two children. His wife has five brothers serving, four of whom are in hospital in England, having been wounded in recent fighting.
