Alfred's Story.
Private A. Morley.
Private Alfred Morley, of the Manchester Regiment, and son of Mr. And Mrs. Charles Morley, 6, Alban Street, Crewe, has been killed in action. The news was sent home by Private Newman, a comrade of the deceased, and also a Crewe man. Private Morley met his death during an attack upon the enemy. He was 23 years of age and before enlistment was employed as a tailor by Mr. J. L. Perkins, Market Street. For 15 years he was a member of St. Peter's Church choir and was highly respected he had been at the front about five months.
