Died on Hospital Ship

GALLANT SOLDIER BURIED AT SEA.

News has been received by Mrs. A. King, who resides at 7, Hamilton View, Birkenhead, that her husband, Pte Martin King, of the 6th South Lancashire Regt., has died of wounds. He was wounded on August 10th, and died on board a hospital ship on Sept. 1. The letter conveying the sad news said that he was buried at sea. Pte. King was awarded two medals for his services with the South Lancashire Regt. in South Africa, which war he went through unwounded. He leaves a widow and three children to mourn his loss.
