William Victor's Story.

   William was born in Chester in 1898. He lived with his father Absalom, a publican, and his mother Mary at 136 Northgate Street, Chester. He had 2 brothers, Frederick & Arthur, and a sister, Florence. By 1911 they were living at Crown Vaults public house, Buckley, Flintshire. 

   William enlisted in Buckley. He was killed in action on the 21st June 1918 at Aveluy Wood. He is buried at Hamel Military Cemetery, Beaumont Hamel, Dept De La Somme, France. II E29.
