Tom's Story.

Born Crewe, February 5, 1894. Son of Charles and
Eliza Hassall of 72, Newdigate Street, Crewe and husband of
Madge Hassall of Southsea. A former pupil of the Hightown
LNWR Boys School. Previously worked at Mr Latham’s shop
in West Street, Crewe as an assistant chemist. Enlisted on
August 22, 1912 and joined the Bulwark on August 3, 1914.
