James's Story.

James Harrop was born in Allostock, Cheshire in1898, one of four children born to Samuel (a farmer) and Bessie Harrop of Allostock.

James enlisted in the army sometime after 1915, becoming Private no. 36585 of the 6^th Battalion of the Prince of Wales Volunteers (South Lancashire Regiment).

James 'DIED' on the 25^th May 1917.
