LIEUTENANT GOY
Killed in Flying Accident
The friends of Mr. and Mrs. W. Goy 145, Grange Road, will learn with the deepest regret of the death of Flight Lieut. E. G. Goy, late R.N.A.S., who met his death at Stonehenge on the 24th inst. in a flying accident. Further details are not yet to hand but Mr. and Mrs. Goy have been the recipients of a message of sympathy from the late Lieut. Goy’s commanding officer.
Prior to joining the R.N.A.S., Lieut. Goy, who was the younger son, was in the merchant service with Messrs. Leyland and Co. He was third officer on the “Cestrian,” and was on that ship when she was torpedoed. He received his education at the Birkenhead Institute and St. Ives Grammar School. Lieut. Goy was 23 years of age at the time of his death. The body will be brought to Birkenhead for interment. Mr. and Mrs. Goy have another son, Lieut.
