Killed by a Sniper.

TRANMERE CORPORAL’S DEATH.

News is to hand of the death of Corporal William Robinson Holyoake, of the 9th Battalion Cheshire Regiment, and second son of Mr. Frank Holyoake, who resides at 34, Milton Road, Higher Tranmere. In the official notification received from the War Office it states that Corporal Holyoake was killed by a sniper during a recent engagement in France. He has two brothers who are serving with the colours, one being in the same regiment, the 9th Cheshires, whilst the other one is in the 4th Cheshires. Much sympathy will be extended to Mr. Holyoake in the sad loss he has sustained.
