Eric's Story.

PRIVATE E. FINCH.

Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Finch, High Street, Crewe, have received news that their son, Private Eric Finch, has been killed in action.
This information was received from Lance-Corporal Winston Lightfoot, a school chum of Private Finch, who says his death occurred on October 1st. Private Finch has been posted as missing, but no official news has been received of his death.
Private Finch was 19 years of age, and enlisted in February, 1917, going on active service in the December following. He was at one time employed by Mr. F. G. Densem, Crewe, but before enlistment was manager of Mr. F. W. Wheatley's shop in Nantwich Road. He was educated at Crewe Academy.
