Leonard's Story.

Born Nantwich, enlisted Crewe. Son of
Arthur and Henrietta Ormes of 35, Snow Hill, Nantwich.
Previously employed as a billiard maker at Nantwich
Conservative Club. Was a member of Nantwich Church choir
and Church Lads Brigade, and was also a side drummer for
both the Lads Brigade and Nantwich Town Bands. Went to
France on December 18, 1914. Seriously wounded on March
13 and died five days later in a Boulogne military hospital.

MIC states he died on March 19.
