Tranmere “Cheshire” Dies.

A Corporation Employee.

Our portrait is of Private James Cullen, of the 9th Cheshire Regiment, who died from pneumonia on the 15th inst. in France. Private Cullen who was 23 years of age, was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Luke Cullen, of 4, Marquis Street, Higher Tranmere. Before joining the colours twelve months last August he was employed as a clerk in the Birkenhead Corporation Ferry Offices. He was born in Birkenhead, receiving his education at St. Anne’s School, Rock Ferry. Deceased’s two brothers are in the forces with the 9th Lancashires at Salonika.
