Nicholas Albert Roy 's Story.
Birkenhead News 31 August 1918Captain Roy Van Gruisen Killed.
The death in action, on August 21st, is announced of Captain N. A. Roy Van Gruisen, only son of the late Mr. Nicholas Van Gruisen and Mrs. Van Gruisen (late of West Kirby), of the Old Hall, Halton, Cheshire. The deceased officer, who was 29 years of age, was a nephew of Mr. A. H. Van Gruisen, of Bidston Road, Oxton.
Roy Van Gruisen's cousin, Wilfred Van Gruisen died of wounds on 1st November 1916.
